🐒 Monkly: Hey, 🦆 Ducksy! It's been a week since we launched our 🎮 Steam page. Do you know what that means?
🦆 Ducksy: Of course I do, 🐒 Monkly! It means we're officially in the wishlist game! You know, those lists where players add us to stay updated about our release.
🐒 Monkly: Exactly. Many might ask, "Why launch the 🎮 Steam page so early?" Well, the reason is simple: we want our launch to be successful. We want a solid base of players from day one.
🦆 Ducksy: Having the 🎮 Steam page up early helps us collect lots of 📝 wishlists while we're still developing. This is super helpful so we don’t get forgotten when the big day comes. It's like... building up a lot of 📈 hype, 🐒 Monkly!
🐒 Monkly: Building up 📈 hype, I like that! Speaking of hype... Do you know how many 📝 wishlists we got in this first week?
🦆 Ducksy: Oh yes! We got a total of 108 (-1), which leaves us with 107. I know, I know, someone might say, "But you lost one," but I don't care! I'm in celebration mode! 🎉 WIIII!
🐒 Monkly: 🎉 WIIII! Not bad at all for our first week, right? All the traffic we got was mainly organic, sharing on social media. We also tested some ads: we spent $10 on 📘 Facebook, another $10 on 📸 Instagram (a total of $20), and $5 on 🎵 TikTok.
🦆 Ducksy: But of course, being newbies, we made a small mistake... We didn't use 🔖 UTM properly. 🐒 Monkly, do you know what that is?
🐒 Monkly: Sure, 🦆 Ducksy. 🔖 UTM tags are labels you put on links to know where the visits come from. It's like tagging traffic to see if it comes from 🐦 Twitter, 📸 Instagram, 🎵 TikTok, or somewhere else. Well, next time we won’t miss that.
🦆 Ducksy: Meanwhile, we're gathering info to understand what motivates people to share content on X (formerly 🐦 Twitter), and so we can schedule at least 2 posts a day to keep the interest going.
🐒 Monkly: And while we do all that, we're still working on the game. You know what, 🦆 Ducksy? If we reach 400 📝 wishlists by the end of the first month, that would be like getting our golden ticket, but if we make it to 300, that would be great too.
